Service Hours

Most SEPTA services begin operating after 4 am and end around midnight Mondays-Fridays.

Weekend and holiday services operate on different schedules. Services may begin later, end earlier and be less frequent.

A limited number of lines and routes continue running after midnight on weekdays. For details, consult the schedule for the line or route you plan to ride.

Check for Updates

When SEPTA makes schedule or route changes due to holidays, extreme weather, or major events, it announces them on its home page, via Live View alerts, on social media and through the official SEPTA apps.

Holiday Service Schedule

SEPTA services operate on modified schedules on major holidays. Details are posted in the days leading up to the holiday. The holidays are:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

Weather-Related Suspensions

If the weather becomes too severe for regular operation of any route or service, SEPTA will announce a suspension of service.

Information will be sent immediately to media as well as being published through its own channels.
